The Wisteria
The Wisteria was the head of the Department of Operations, and a member of the Board of Department Heads from 1999 to 2006, when he was murdered by the Black Cats. He—or she; the Wisteria has been referred to as both—was apparently a negligent leader, as the Sub Rosa said he found exercise more interesting than management,[1] and was replaced by the Nightshade after the Cats' invasion. Prior to his job as Department Head and Board member, he worked in the Nursery; Admiral Pansy remembers the Wisteria's presence there when he was Awakened, in the days before the Nursery was used mostly for agents' children.
