Calista is a 27-year-old biomedical engineering student from the USA.

About This Boarder[]

Calista tends to be a little obsessive sometimes. This is not necessarily a bad thing, unless it happens during finals week.

She can speak German, but not fluently; play the piano, but not extremely well; and make crocheted blankets, though nothing complex. For fun, she reads books, plays computer games (if they are free or cheap), listens to songs from Broadway musicals, and keeps a blog that's basically a collection of rants and essays. She has two cats, who graciously allow her to stay in their apartment.

She is a confirmed science nerd, fascinated with pretty much everything having to do with science, especially statistics, physics, medicine, psychology, and sociology (which is more of a social science, but meh...). Her career goals include becoming a rehabilitation engineer; she wants to design medical equipment that fills in the gap between disability and what society expects of the average person.

She also has ADHD and PDD-NOS, also known as "some kind of autism, but we have no clue which kind". This doesn't mean much online, except that sometimes when you hint at something, it'll fly way over her head. If that happens, just spell it out and she'll get it. And for heaven's sake, if she annoys you, tell her so she can stop--she's probably oblivious to the fact that she's even being annoying in the first place!

Calista's Fandoms[]

Too many to count, probably. The first she really fell in love with was Narnia, but her most intense interest (so far) has been Lord of the Rings.
