Bronze Clockwork is definitely NOT, in any way shape or form . . . okay, this is getting old. Bronze Clockwork is the wiki name of Tungsten Monk, who was concealing her identity for a while due to IRL concerns. She's back now.
Tungsten was a Boarder from about 2004 through 2007, at which point she was forced to withdraw due to the abovementioned IRL concerns. Contact with Neshomeh and severe snark withdrawal encouraged her to reconsider the PPC in 2009, and she is now cautiously poking her head back into the organization.
Tungsten has a double bachelor's in English and creative writing, as well as a minor in philosophy, and graduated from college in May 2010. She is a former Girl Scout and a lifelong science fiction and fantasy fanatic, thanks in part to parents who thought reading A Wrinkle in Time was the best way to get their kid to sleep. Currently, she is owned by a large orange cat named Pippin.
She has a penchant for drawn-out jokes, bad puns, multilingual swearing, and historical fiction. Her secret weakness is well-written fluff.
During her original tenure on the Board, the other Boarders spontaneously decided that her middle initial was W--tungsten's symbol on the periodic table and a throwback to its original name, Wolframium. You may see her referred to as TWM or even just W_M, which amuses her to no end, mainly because it looks like an emoticon for a dazed drunk expression.
She has many fandoms, but tends to be active in only a few at a time, maintaining expertise in certain sections of the canon. When called upon, however, she can PPC for: Batman, Justice League, Doctor Who (through the end of the 10th Doctor--an irrational fear of Matt Smith keeps her from watching more), Star Wars, The Dresden Files, the Amelia Peabody series, the SPQR series, the Fools' Guild series, Rome, Shakespeare, Gilbert & Sullivan, X-Men, Spider-Man, Lord of the Rings, Discworld, Final Fantasy, Phantom of the Opera, Labyrinth, all Pixar films, Aliens, Predator, Alien vs. Predator, The Mummy, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, The Green Hornet, 300, and her current stomping grounds, G.I. Joe. (Yes, really.) Additional fandoms available upon request.
