The Very Secret Diaries is a series of short fanfics written by the infamous Cassandra Claire. The series is the vehicle of her BNF status and actually quite funny and well written, unlike most of her subsequent work. It is composed of diary entries by various LotR characters set during the War of the Ring and written in the style of Bridget Jones. It contains copious use of the phrases 'Sam will kill him if he tries anything', 'still not king', and 'pervy hobbit-fancier'.
