Draconic attitudes[]

Is it odd that I think Derik should be in a few missions where he has to contend with dragons that do not see eye to eye with humans? I just think it'd make for an interesting dilemma for a dragonrider to be faced with a dragon with contempt or worse for humanity.--Zervziel 17:49, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Not odd at all. If you come across a suitably bad fic with this type of dragon(s) in it, I'm all ears as long as I know the continuum. ~Neshomeh 18:27, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
How familiar are you with the Warcraft continuum? Because there's a fic that needs to be shot down, though the characters in question might be a bit much.--Zervziel 18:33, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
I played for a while, and Phobos can always consult--he's the real gamer around here. Got a link, or is it something already on the Unclaimed Fic list? ~Neshomeh 20:27, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6599304/1/The_Island Is one example. Read it and almost died of the stupidity and contrivances. Don't know if it's supposed to be funny or serious. The characters Deathwing and Alexstrasza are the central characters, being thrown OOC immensely. Contrivances are high and both are injured from an immense explosion in non-canon battle. The real trick is bringing back an Old God, N'zoth. (There's a mini in the second sentence, N'zath) And getting rid of a non-canon mysterious island will be on the to-do list as well. Might be a good chance to dust-off Voltarmi as it is her home continuum. Interested?--Zervziel 00:34, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
First, let me just say "wow" at how hard that is to read. I couldn't even force myself to get through the first chapter--I just skimmed the first and last. I suspect an ESL writer. I don't think there's actually a Sue in the fic, though; plus, the knowledge of characterization required is a bit beyond me. Phobos might take it, though. His Warcraft agents need something to do, and there's definitely enough OOC to go around. ~Neshomeh 02:25, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
That doesn't count as possession or a replacement by a sue?--Zervziel 02:57, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
Not necessarily. They have to display extra-speshul Mary Sue traits to be possessed or replaced. As far as I can tell, they're just acting dumb. ~Neshomeh 03:15, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
True, and it would be hard to tell otherwise as the Aspects are quite powerful so it'd be hard to tell Sue from canon. Oh well, I threw it out there for ya just in case you wanted to have some fun with it. You could do it under the explanation that it's punishment on Derik from the Flowers for allowing Earwig to bring a fire-breathing dragon into the PPC without as much as a question to them about it. As well as the subsequent destruction of the lab.--Zervziel 03:21, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
