NCIS: Los Angeles is a live-action TV series by Shane Brennan about an NCIS team based in Los Angeles, California. It is a spin-off of NCIS. Like its predecessor, the team investigate major criminal offenses (murder, abduction, terrorist threats) involving the United States Navy and Marine Corps. Unlike its predecessor, NCIS: LA is more of a spy drama. Every episode has at least one agent going undercover, and there are virtually no scenes of evidence being gathered or processed. The show is currently in its third season.
Like the main series, NCIS: Los Angeles has mini-Law Enforcement Officers (or LEOs) as its minis.
