Minis created for the Onmyōji continuum are mini-daruma. They appear as coconut-sized versions of these dolls with mini names embossed on their bellies rather than the kanji found on the actual dolls. They don't speak, but retain the canonical ability to laugh annoyingly.
Origin[]
Real world origin[]
Daruma dolls are a fortune item in Japanese culture, modeled and named after the monk Bodhidharma. New dolls have pupilless eyes; one would draw a pupil in one eye as one makes a wish to the doll, and once the wish comes true, the other eye will be filled.
Canon origin[]
Daruma dolls in Onmyōji gameplay are items used to increase a shikigami's character, star or skill level. Technically, they can also be deployed in battle like shikigami, though it's inadvisable to do so. They can certainly be encountered in battle, and also make very annoying vocalizations to boot (despite not having credited voice actors).
Creation Rules[]
Minis can take the form of any daruma type found in-game.
As this is a Chinese- and Japanese-language work with multiple canonical namings, writers are advised to keep up with accepted romanizations and canon character names before declaring certain writings mini-worthy.
