Minis from the Avengers-based portions of the Marvel Universe appear as mini-Nick Furys.

Mini-Nick Furys (often abbreviated as mini-Furys or, occasionally, mini-Nicks) are small versions of Nick Fury. As such, they have rather squeaky voices, and their personalities tend to meld Nick Fury's character traits with the traits of whatever character or place was misspelled to create the mini. For example, Steve Rodgers the mini-Fury might have Fury's speech patterns and Captain America's fighting technique, while tony... would be terrifying, actually, in a 'genius engineer meets secretive leader' sort of way. As to Nic, well, that would be a super-concentrated Nick Fury in miniature.

Mini-Furys are slightly limited in their abilities in that they're very, very short. On the other hand, that puts them at perfect shin-biting height and that, coupled with a little improvisation, makes even one of them a definite force to be reckoned with. The mini can appear as either the Hasselhoff form or the Jackson form.

Canon Origin

Nick Fury is a long-running protagonist in the Marvel Universe. He originally served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In the Cold War, he was the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which stands for the Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-enforcement Division), working against the terrorist organization HYDRA (which doesn't stand for anything).

In some versions of the Marvel Universe, Fury enlists numerous superheroes (different ones depending on which version) to form the Avengers, a team of heroes working with S.H.I.E.L.D. to keep the world safe.

Nick Fury remains alive to the present day, thanks to a medical treatment known as the Infinity Formula.
