Luck is a strange and inexplicable phenomenon regarded with heavy suspicion by most agents. It is generally agreed that once employed by the PPC, good luck is rare and must be jealously guarded, but always runs the risk of being bad luck in disguise.
Some agents claim that there is no such thing as luck, and instead blame the Ironic Overpower for everything unpleasant. Others simply try to burn the Flowers. A possible mundane explanation for the Laws of Narrative Comedy and Ironic Overpower is that the phenomena are merely the agents in question being afflicted with very bad luck. However, this is less fun to think about, and also ignores the existence of the Legal Department.
