Jiwon Kim is an agent in the Department of Floaters, written by OrangeFox.
Appearance[]
As a gumiho, Jiwon has two shapes: human and animal. In animal shape, he appears as a stocky fox with a larger-than-normal tail. Most of his body is covered in orange-red fur, with black spots around his paws and a bit of white on the front of his chest and at the tip of his tail. As a human, he appears as a tired-looking Asian teenager of average build with a pair of fox ears and a massive, bushy tail. In this form, he is around five and a half feet tall. Like all gumiho, Jiwon possesses a yeowoo geseul, a small bead kept in his mouth which can drain energy, though he prefers to keep it hidden. He usually wears simple shirts, jackets and pants, generally preferring muted colors.
Personality[]
Jiwon is generally easygoing and well-meaning, though tense and awkward when faced with new experiences, which in the PPC is most of them. He has a tendency to zone out when comfortable, and can have difficulty paying attention to his surroundings. He's very prone to mistakes when surprised, not helped by his brain's tendency to "blank."
He is hesitant when speaking his mind and tries very hard to avoid conflict with others. Sometimes in public he can come across as apathetic due to this tendency, but part of that comes from a small streak of apathy in him to begin with. Given time, or if sufficiently annoyed, he will eventually open up to reveal a little bit of wit and even the occasional sarcastic quip, not that he'll ever show it more than once before withdrawing into his shell again.
He can be rather defensive and prone to worry, and tends to overestimate how much others judge him. He also has a tendency to dwell on past mistakes. Despite all of this, he is a decent problem solver and often ends up being the planner of his agent pair.
While Jiwon does have a form of magic, as the gumiho naturally do, he dislikes using them due to his lack of experience and self-confidence, generally restricting himself to the occasional wisp of blue flame to light up the dark. His human form is an exception, though— he finds it a necessity to interact with other agents, as he can't talk as a fox.
