Inasuke Akagashi (赤樫(あかがし) 稲介(いなすけ) Akagashi Inasuke) is a Department of Floaters agent. He is partnered officially with Urato Tomiyama and unofficially with Kaguya Hazama and Momoka Shigisawa, forming an unofficial agent ensemble called the Four Demonly Kings (四夜叉王).

Agent Profile[]

Appearance & Physical Characteristics[]

He is only 145 cm tall and looks much younger than he actually is. Due to a lack of description in his home fic, he chose to have shoulder-length wavy brown hair and blue eyes.

His voice is described as like a combination of Tsubasa Yonaga and Ayumu Murase.[2]

Personality[]

Since he didn't have much of a character in his home fic, most of his personality is developed during his time with the PPC. He's a young man with reasonable proficiency in English and a deep interest in cute things and pretty Western works. For this reason, he gets riled up easily by badfics set in such works. He is not entirely friendly with his partner Urato due to opposing interests and habits, and is also quite selfish, as seen when he constantly takes Urato along on mission into continua he dislikes and drags his acquaintances into his personal quest for a mini of his favourite character. He displays some measure of aptitude for tailoring, as seen when he makes enough hand-sewn plushes to pile in his room.

He admires Momoka, whom he considers a sister figure[3], and hates Kaguya, whom he perceives as enslaving her. This sometimes leads to conflict for him due to Momoka's loyalty to Kaguya.

His first-person Japanese pronoun is ore 俺. He has stated he finds the pronoun boku cuter, but doesn't want to use the same pronoun as Kaguya.[4] From the Colour Swap arc (episodes 45 to 52) onward, he uses boku.[5]

After officially becoming a Twisted Wonderland fan, he develops a strong, almost obsessive interest in the character Vil Schoenheit.

Background[]

Home fic
For details, see: "Of Jumbled Storytelling Orders and Historical Aberrations"

He was originally an apparently younger-than-fifteen-year-old boy named Yuji, a grandson of Oda Nobunaga who somehow lived in WWII. He personally suffered from abuse by the Sue who thought he was useless because he couldn't stop his grandfather's murder. He was rescued and renamed before the fic's narrative forgot about him, and participated in fighting the Sue. After undergoing PPC treatment, he joined the DF with Urato as a partner.

Official background

After sitting in a reality room, his improbable family relation was removed and he was given a background completely independent of the events of TouRabu canon: an ordinary human youth from Osaka who happens to live in the canon's time period.

Despite being from TouRabu continuum, his background is independent of its events and he has no interest in getting into the fandom during his time with the PPC, thus he has little to no familiarity or knowledge of it.[2]

Relationships[]

  • Urato Tomiyama: His official partner, rescued from the same badfic as him and shares RC 🤘 with him. As the two are near opposites in personality and interests, they clash often, though can still cooperate successfully.
  • Momoka Shigisawa: Idolizes her to a great degree, to the point where he doesn't mind being trapped with her. The two are on good terms, and his missions with her are usually enjoyable.
  • Kaguya Hazama: Outwardly and vocally dislikes him, constantly calling him a "botchan scum", due to perceiving him as pampered and enslaving Momoka.
  • Booky the Normal-Sized Temmie: His mini, adopted upon receiving agent status because he thinks it's cute.
  • Vill the mini-Overblot: Second mini, found and adopted in episode (33) due to his interest in the canon character it's spawned from.
