Vash

The main protagonist.

Trigun, originally a manga by Yasuhiro Nightow, is well known as an anime series directed by Satoshi Nishimura. The show follows the adventures of Vash the Stampede as witnessed by two insurance workers, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who follow him around in an attempt to minimize the damage he causes (mostly by accident) wherever he goes.

Vash in Canon[]

Vash is a laid-back, doughnut-loving goof who wants nothing more than for everyone to get along with everyone else. Unfortunately, the bounty on his head means he attracts trouble everywhere he goes, and he gets his nickname "the Humanoid Typhoon" from the trail of damage he leaves behind. He does his best to defuse these situations without killing anyone, and he is suspiciously good at it. Underneath his goofball exterior lurks a dark and mysterious past.

He is tall with blond, spiky hair, and he usually sports a red duster and a set of orange sunglasses with round lenses and zig-zagged supports. One of his arms is equipped with a powerful energy gun.

Trigun and the PPC[]

Vash is one of Agent Gunny MacDougal's Lust Objects.

Surprisingly, there are no recorded missions in this continuum yet despite three attractive and angsty prominent male characters (Vash, his evil twin brother Millions Knives, and the gunslinger Nicholas D. Wolfwood). The anime divisions should probably get on that.
