Abuse

When something or someone is treated horribly, that's abuse. Normally the PPC encounters abuse of the English language or of canon characters. In the second instance, abuse may be simply mischaracterisation, or it may be as serious as physical abuse (the character is beaten up and hurt by other characters) or sexual abuse (the character is molested or raped by other characters). Abuse is never okay. Sometimes physical or sexual abuse is used to build drama or to establish plot points or characterisation, and it can be justified if used very carefully. Most of the time, however, badficcers use it to set up hurt/comfort and do it badly. The PPC do not condone abuse of characters or of the English language.
